CALL FOR PAPERS
We agreed in June 2014 that the so-far annual conference will become a bi-annual event. Anyway, as we all miss each other :-), we are happy to announce a one-day PL-CALL Between, to be held on 15 May 2015. It will be both attached to – and independent from – 6th International May Conference Current Issues in English Studies 14-15 May 2015, Cracow, Poland.
We welcome all papers in the areas of:
- Individual differences and CALL
- Social media and networking; telecollaboration; building and sustaining online LL communities
- Project work in CALL
- Teachers and learners of the new millennium
- New techniques – new contexts – new methodologies?
- Mobile learning
- Virtual learning environments (VLEs)
- Computer-Mediated Communication (CMC)
- Personal learning environments (PLEs)
- Virtual worlds in language education
- E-course design; e-material writing
- Corpora in language learning
- Task design
- Good practices in CALL
With this call – as an additional incentive – we are happy to announce plenary lectures by:
- Anna Stanisławska-Mischke
- Piotr Peszko
We are also planning:
- a discussion panel Academic e-learning in Poland – already a thing of the past or yet to come chaired by professor Jerzy Mischke (SEA; Polish Association for Academic Elearning);
- two practical workshops: on Open Educational Resources, facilitated by Anna Skowron (Jan Długosz University, Częstochowa); on Intercultural Exchanges Online / Telecollaboration, facilitated by Małgorzata (Gosia) Kurek (Jan Długosz University, Częstochowa).

- 1 March 2015: Deadline for speakers’ registration and abstract submission
- 15 March 2015: Notification of Acceptance / Rejection
- 31 March 2015: Deadline for conference fee payment (the details to be found in the second circular)
- 15 May 2015: PL-CALL Between
- 30 Sept 2015: Deadline for the submission of articles for monograph (in English only)
- 31 Dec 2015: Notification of article acceptance for publication
- 2016: publication of monograph
